framing faux pas
i am beginning to think that my artwork
cannot be contained within a frame.
yes, the $1,000 estimate at the frameshop
and the joke of a frame i ordered online
were deterrents...
but you should have seen how
the plexiglass popped!
witnessed the snapping of the clumsy frame
upon contact with my pastel.
how could these riotous colors and heavy organic forms
possibly be contained within 90 degree angles
or rest peacefully beneath sterile plate glass?

too bad it looked so good in a frame. maybe, perhaps, your artwork, like the artist himself, demands to dress itself only in fittings of the highest quality.
Oh no, the online frame let you down!! Curses!
