technically projecting

perhaps it is because i was at a conference all weekend and learning about all the amazing new features of photoshop and illustrator, but this crazy vision of the future seems entirely possible
and i want it now!

the other night dan told me about two wacky kinds of cameras...

1. the tilt shift camera that delightfully distorts perspective and makes everything look fake

2. the adapted scanner camera: amazing detail/breathtaking colors
edit: just changed the link to what dan was actually referring to!

Yay! I totally wanted to blog about these three things, but I dint. So I'm glad you did.

I'm definitely excited about the multi-touch screen computer. I mean, I'd still just use it to surf the internet and write e-mails, but still -- it'd be super cool.

Can you believe the photos you linked to aren't miniature models? Me neith. Here's another link to an artist named Olivo Barbieri (again, via BoingBoing).

I do love the scanner photography that you linked to, but that's not what I was talking about (plus, I think you could do it better. Actually, I think you have, at some point...). I was referring to a photographer who "builds homemade digital cameras from low-end flatbed scanners." Again...again...via BoingBoing.
