comedown

this weekend has been one long comedown
i was exhausted & exhilarated from the opening

i couldn't have asked for a better opening
the art was well hung and perfectly lit
the gallery had accented the work with
several stunning floral arrangements,
the champagne & wine were flowing,
and the amazing jason hutto brought
it all to life with his amazing keyboard skills

the gallery was packed with a healthy dose
of my wonderful friends, family & coworkers
and tons of people that I hadn't forced to attend

it was only when i would escape to the bathroom
that the enormity of the whole thing really hit me
and i've been happily hung over ever since
